The Financial Operations– Senior Officer’s mission is to ensure qualitative and proactive support in the Financial Operations department of our Company, by performing accurate back-office transactions and analysis to monitor, control and reduce settlement and operational risk exposures in a risk-averse environment, while ensuring effective liaison among internal departments.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor and reconcile Nostro bank accounts
Check outgoing payments in currencies/metals generated by the system
Check incoming payments in currencies/metals generated by the system
Reconcile future clearing accounts and monitor margin calls
Monitor mark-to-market exposures on OTC forwards and manage collateral accounts
Match trade confirmations and investigate any discrepancies
Check and book interests and bank charges based on statements received
Check and run the daily program to swap automatically client trading positions
Process intercompany payment requests and provide advice on them
Prepare and send lease and loan confirmations based on transactions executed by Treasury
Monitor settlement positions and settlement risk
Optimize return on overnight excess liquidity
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor/Master’s degree level in Finance, or another relevant field.
Minimum 5 years of work experience in back office/middle office functions
Minimum 5 years of work experience in banking or commodity trading institution
