MISSION
The Commercial Operations Officer plays a crucial role within our physical trading desk, overseeing operations related to various precious metals transactions for both institutional and non-institutional client segments. This position is key for maintaining control and ensuring the smooth execution of operations across multiple locations.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Onboarding due diligence, contract preparation and account maintenance
Daily commercial operations (deliveries, pricing, invoicing, payments, reconciliation), including:
- Managing precious metals client orders and ensuring completeness and accuracy of information and documentation issued and received, as well as trade booking in the client account
- Coordinating with Logistics and Treasury to ensure best execution of deliveries and payments
- Monitoring and reconciling client trade accounts, market positions, collateral and balances
- Ensuring correct invoicing of good and services
- If required, preparing the related trade finance documentation
- Resolving or escalating issues
Monitoring and reconciling client trade accounts, market positions, collateral and balances
Monitoring client accounts and mitigating risks
- Reconciling system account and audit statements
- Managing collateral applicable to hedging structure/derivatives
- Analyse profitability of accounts in coordination with the finance department and sales
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, finance or other relevant field.
- 1-2 years of work experience, preferably in a commodities trading house or financial institution

- Ability to work autonomously;
- Resistance to stress and time-pressure;
- Agile and flexible mindset, reactive to requests;
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to interact with colleagues of diverse cultures; respect for diversity;
- Good IT skills; proficiency in Windows environment is expected;
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Spoken Arabic is required; French and/or Italian knowledge is an asset.
