MISSION
The Head of Finance & Operations is a member of the senior Management Team for the region Asia Pacific, with a functional reporting line to the COO and Head of Finance in Switzerland. Their mission is to drive financial strength and operational efficiency across the region by leading strategic financial planning, treasury management, and business operations, ensuring the optimal use of resources, supporting scalable growth, and enabling effective decision-making aligned with corporate goals.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Stewardship (in collaboration with the Head of Finance)
- Manage the regional accounting team.
- Oversee regional budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and audit processes.
- Deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting and analysis.
- Monitor financial performance to ensure profitability and cost efficiency.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management (in collaboration with the COO)
- Oversee regional cash flow, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
- Optimize working capital and mitigate financial risks.
- Manage the implementation of tools related to treasury and cash management.
Operational Leadership (in collaboration with the COO):
- Optimize business operations and allocate resources effectively to boost efficiency and scalability.
- Oversee relevant regional support functions (e.g., commercial operations including onboarding and transactional support, logistics and inventory management, trade confirmations, and payment execution).
- Drive process improvements and systems implementation, and enable operational best practices.
Strategic Business Partnership (in collaboration with the regional senior management):
- Partner with regional leadership to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives.
- Align finance and operations with corporate objectives and performance targets.
Team and Performance Leadership:
- Lead and develop regional finance and operations teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and ongoing improvement.
Additional Duties:
- Effectively promote synergies and ensure good coordination and collaboration with other departments.
- Contribute suggestions for improvement and introduce innovative thinking.
- Conduct work with sensitivity to gender and diversity considerations.
- Accomplish other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in economics, finance, or a related field.
- 10 years of work experience, preferably in financial institutions or commodity trading firms.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer orientation.
- Agile and flexible mindset, responsive to requests.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to interact with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds; respect for diversity.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English is required.
