MISSION
The Commercial Operations Lead will oversee the Branded Jewelers Operations function, currently a team of one based in Geneva, working in close collaboration with colleagues in Thailand. The role reports directly to the Head of Commercial Operations.
This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient end-to-end precious metals operations — from client onboarding and contracting through to final settlement — while delivering outstanding service to our counterparties.
This position can be based either in Geneva or Ticino.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, coach, and develop the team to deliver high-quality operational execution.
- Oversee client onboarding and account maintenance (KYC, tenders, contracts).
- Supervise daily commercial operations, including:
- Precious metals deliveries: ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.
- Monitoring and reconciliation of client trade accounts, market positions, and balances.
- Correct invoicing of goods and services.
- Issue resolution and escalation when necessary.
- Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration with relationship managers, production, logistics, treasury, trading, compliance, and back office.
- Formalize, implement, and improve processes/procedures across operations, including client onboarding.
- Identify operational needs regarding IT tools, support design/upgrades, and promote adoption.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience, ideally in a commodities trading house or financial institution within Operations and/or Accounting-Finance.
- Previous work experience in precious and/or base metals is a plus.
- Project management experience and training is a plus.
