MISSION
We are seeking a candidate who will play a key role in supporting the Head of Finance with day-to-day operational tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage large volumes of data and information, ensuring timely submission of all management accounts in accordance with company policies, SOPs, and established deadlines.
The ideal candidate is able to set clear priorities, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced financial environment with strong internal controls and regulatory compliance requirements. Lastly, the candidate should be able to perform any other job-related tasks as assigned by the superior.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage Transactions: Handle large volumes of sales transactions and client settlements in compliance with internal financial policies and regulatory requirements.
- Financial Management: Manage daily financial transactions including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP) and journal entries.
- Customer Support: Assist customers with invoicing and billing requirements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial documents to ensure completeness, accuracy and adherence to accounting principles (MFRS).
- Closing Activities: Assist in monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies promptly.
- Cash Flow Management: Assist in cash flow monitoring and forecasting to support operational and investment decisions.
- Audit Support: Collaborate with auditors and tax consultants to support audits and tax submissions.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency and internal control.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Education: Bachelor’s degree/ diploma in Accounting and Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Skills: Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills in English.
- Certifications: Professional accounting certification (CGMA, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Team Player: A team player who is dynamic, independent, and able to work under high pressure and meet tight deadlines.
