MISSION

The Risk and Product Control role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and transparency of financial reporting for trading activities, with a primary focus on trade reconciliations of internal systems, P&L and Trade Compliance. This role supports risk and trading operations by providing robust control and analytical insight into trading performance, enabling effective risk oversight and financial integrity across the business. The Product Control Support specialist will play a vital role in strengthening control frameworks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements, and enhancing the reliability of financial information used by senior management.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Trade reconciliations

•Execute daily trade and position reconciliations across internal systems to identify and resolve discrepancies (breaks) quickly and independently.

•Support month-end and quarter-end trading P&L reconciliations

•Coordinate with Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure timely and precise entries for trading activities.

Market data and P&L Control
•Perform daily quality controls on market data received and identify market data break swiftly
•Review and validate daily Profit and Loss (P&L) of trading positions, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution to business partners and stakeholders

Trade Compliance Framework and Risk Management Support

•Prepare reports to monitor trade compliance (booking logic, internal trades, trading behaviors etc.)

•Maintain and enhance product control procedures, ensuring adherence to internal control standards and regulatory frameworks.

•Identify control gaps, operational risks and propose process improvements to strengthen operational risk controls within trading and valuation processes

Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting

•Act as a key liaison between trading desks, risk management, finance, and other middle/back-office functions to resolve issues and improve reporting accuracy.

•Prepare regular reports for senior management on P&L trends, identified risks, and control effectiveness.

•Support audit, regulatory reporting, and external review processes by providing detailed documentation, analysis, and explanation of controls and financial results.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Risk Management, or a related discipline.

•Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in product control, trade support, financial control, or related
functions in a banking, investment, or commodities trading environment.

•Technical proficiency with Excel (including advanced functions) and familiarity with trading and financial reporting systems.

•Basic programming skills (SQL, Python, R etc.) are a plus

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

•Excellent understanding of financial markets, trading desks, and valuation methodologies across
products (e.g., FX, commodities, derivatives).
•Demonstrated experience in daily P&L analysis, valuation control and reconciliations

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across front, middle, and back office.

•Ability to perform under pressure within a fast-paced trading environment.

•Proactive mindset with a focus on control effectiveness and continuous improvement.
