MISSION
The mission of the job holder to established to strengthen the Company’s financial control environment by centralizing critical reconciliation activities within the Shared Services Centre. Through timely and accurate reconciliations, the position enhances the reliability of financial reporting, supports compliance with internal controls, and allows finance resources in Switzerland to focus on strategic initiatives and business transformation projects.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform timely and accurate reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, inventory, intercompany balances, VAT accounts, and other balance sheet items.
Investigate, analyze, and resolve reconciliation discrepancies and outstanding reconciling items.
Collaborate with finance teams across multiple entities to ensure timely resolution of reconciliation issues.
Prepare and maintain complete and accurate reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation.
Ensure all reconciliations are completed in accordance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal control requirements.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities related to balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain audit-ready documentation to support internal and external audit requirements.
Monitor the quality and accuracy of balance sheet accounts and escalate significant issues where appropriate.
Identify opportunities to improve reconciliation processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen the financial control environment.
Support additional accounting, reporting, and finance-related activities as assigned by management.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in accounting, general ledger, financial reconciliations, or Shared Services Centre environment
• Experience in balance sheet reconciliations and month-end closing processes
• Knowledge of IFRS is an advantage
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP/Oracle) is preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Open to Malaysian citizen only
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and balance sheet reconciliations
• Knowledge of month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment
• Adaptability and willingness to work in a dynamic, multicultural Shared Services environment
