MISSION
The Technical Drawing & Tooling Warehouse Specialist is responsible for managing technical drawings, developing and maintaining operational procedures, and overseeing the tooling warehouse. As part of a Center of Excellence, this role supports not only the Castel San Pietro site but also teams in the US and India, requiring strong technical competence, cross-regional coordination skills, and the ability to standardize practices across multiple locations.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Drawing Management
Manage technical drawings in line with engineering and customer standards.
Ensure drawing revisions are controlled, approved, and released through the correct change management process.
Support drawing requests and interpretation queries from local, US, and India teams.
Ensure compliance with applicable regional/customer drawing standards and specifications.
Procedure Development
Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Standardize procedures across sites to ensure consistency for the Center of Excellence's global scope.
Review and update procedures periodically to reflect process improvements, audit findings, or regulatory changes.
Train and support local and international teams on new or revised procedures.
Tooling Warehouse Management
Manage day-to-day operations of the tooling warehouse, including inventory control, storage, and maintenance scheduling.
Track tooling usage, availability, and lifecycle across all supported regions.
Coordinate tooling requests, transfers, and repairs/replacements to minimize production downtime.
Implement and maintain inventory accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
Cross-Regional Coordination
Act as a point of contact for US and India teams on drawing, procedure, and tooling matters.
Collaborate across time zones to ensure timely support and issue resolution.
Contribute to knowledge-sharing and best-practice alignment across the Center of Excellence network.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proven ability with drawing revision and change management processes.
Experience in managing work instructions, or other controlled technical documentation.
Familiarity with ERP.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and different cultures.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and inventory records.
Structured and process-oriented mindset, with a strong focus on standardization, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, to support regular collaboration with international teams.
Swiss or EU citizen, or holder of a valid Swiss work permit.
