MISSION

The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and growing client relationships within the precious metals trading business. The role focuses on driving trading activity, supporting customer needs and order flows, and expanding revenue through effective account management, business development and product cross sells. Working closely with Compliance, Operations, and Finance, the Relationship Manager ensures client activities are executed efficiently, compliantly, and in line with the company’s risk appetite, commercial objectives and business growth strategy.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese would be an added advantage.

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in relationship management, sales, trading support, or client-facing roles, preferably within precious metals, commodities, banking, or financial services.

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.

• Support the Head of Department in achieving revenue and profitability targets through disciplined client management and business development initiatives.

• Solicit, manage, and execute trading orders for clients across precious metals products and solutions.

• Ensure accurate and timely execution of client orders in strict accordance with client instructions, internal procedures, and control standards.

• Service clients by providing timely market information, pricing updates, trade confirmations, and relevant market recommendations.

• Support clients’ trading requirements across both online and offline channels, including effective use of the company’s trading platforms.

• Promote and develop new business opportunities while maintaining and strengthening long-term relationships with existing clients.

• Develop new markets and expand the client base through networking initiatives, cold calling, and targeted outreach activities.

• Monitor competitors’ products, pricing, and market positioning, and provide relevant market intelligence and insights to management.

• Assist in promoting the company’s products, services, and online trading platform to clients and prospective customers.

• Coordinate closely with CDD/KYC Specialist, Compliance, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure all client activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date client records, trade details, and communications within CRM and internal systems.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese would be an added advantage.

• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple client requests in a fast-paced environment.

• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.

• Good command of spoken and written English.

• Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese would be an added advantage.
